Jonathan Cooke has been teaching workshops/masterclasses at The Architectural Glass Centre, the commercial arm of the Welsh School of Architectural Glass, for the past nine years or so. Jonathan will demonstrate glass painting using a technique whereby a number of layers of paint can be built up prior to firing. He will also discuss materials, tools and firing schedules. During the workshop there will be ample time for participants to practice the technique and to produce samples.
What people have said about his previous courses..... "Jonathan Cooke's friendly and open minded style combined with his well informed knowledge of the subject, inspires both confidence and enthusiasm. The course is/was without question a must for all who seek to expand their knowledge of glass painting and conservation techniques." "Jonathan's wealth of knowledge, skill and experience provide the foundation from which he teaches with great clarity and generosity. I have found his masterclasses to be both stimulating and liberating, enabling me to learn new glass painting skills whilst challenging and consolidating existing ones. I always welcome the opportunity to learn from him".
