PRESSURE REGULATOR & Flash Back Arrestor
It is necessary to use a pressure regulator on the propane tank. My kiln came with one but it ultimately needed to be replaced after some years of use. The regulator pictured was ordered through a welding supply. It is a Harris regulator Model 425-50 PSIG. The dials monitor the tank pressure and regulate the pressure out to the kiln. I fire at 28 PSI. I also upgraded the system with a flashback arrestor.
