THE CYCLE OF LIFE
This 10' x 8' panel
was created for a new 750 vault wing added to the public mausoleum located in
Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH. The theme of the cycle of life was suggested
by the architect, Mary Rogero, of Dayton, OH. In his original interpretation,
J. Kenneth Leap presents figures at various stages of their lives in an idealized
landscape through which flows the river of life. In the upper panel the scene
dissolves to show a solitary figure crossing this river to a further vista beyond.
